Whether sunk on purpose as an artificial reef or the result of a mishap, wrecks open fascinating windows to the past. Most divers find wrecked ships, airplanes and even automobiles nearly irresistible because they’re intriguing to explore, exciting avenues of discovery, and usually teeming with aquatic life. The PADI Wreck Diver course teaches you the ins and outs of rewarding, responsible wreck diving.

Students have to read and complete the knowledge reviews in the Wreck Diver Manual before the start of the course.
Many shipwrecks are often found in deeper water. That’s why the PADI Wreck Diver course is a natural companion to the PADI Deep Diver course. Sometimes you can take these two specialties concurrently. Other training to consider is the PADI Enriched Air Diver course on your way to PADI Master Scuba Diver.

What do I need for Gear?: Full Scuba Gear. Students should own their own reel and 2 dive lights.
Is there a student rental gear rate: Yes! - Students receive 50% off rental gear from us while on course.
Who can take this course?: Students must have their Advanced Open Water Diver certification and be 15 years of age.
How do I reach my instructor?: After you have registered, an introductory email will be sent you with information on the course, which will include your instructor's name and contact information.
How many open water dives do we do? Students will complete 4 dives, typically over 2 days.
What do I do with the PADI Wreck Diver Specialty text?: The manual is an important part of the class and contains valuable knowledge. Please read and complete the knowledge reviews before the pool session.
Is there a pool session?: No. Only a classroom session and Open water dives are required for this course?
How is this course structured?: The Wreck Diver Course generally has a classroom session before the dives, but sometimes knowledge reviews are done at the Open Water Dives. ALWAYS check your invoice/ DS calendar for additional details!
Does this course have a maximum of students allowed?: Typically this course only has 4 students in the class at a time.
Can I use Dive Zone discount coupons on this course?: Dive Zone members may use their discounts as specified on their membership cards.
What happens if I fail to complete a training dive or have to reschedule?: If a student cancels with less than 7 days notice, is absent or late, shows up unprepared or not ready to dive or does not successfully complete a dive for some reason, they do not fail the program. They will only be required to do a makeup dive(s) with one of the available instructors at a later date, at a rate of $30 per makeup dive, plus rental gear and any charter fees if applicable.
