Join Dive Source for one of the most amazing wreck diving experiences in Ontario. We will be headed up to the North Channel of Lake Huron to explore the Northwind Shipwreck.
The Northwind is 300′ long steamship that is largely intact despite it’s sinking in 1926. It is one of the most intermediate to advanced and technical diving sites in the Great Lakes. This amazing shipwreck has everything any diver could want. Its depth, size, and tons of amazing thing to see and look at make it an absolute must dive for any diver in ontario.
This wreck has it all, size, depth, beauty and tons of stuff to look at and is a must for any diver interested in amazing shipwrecks. The Northwind is also in great condition, measuring 300′ length in depths of 75′-120′ with a maximum depth of 140′ for certified technical wreck penetration divers.
Diver Level
Divers must have a minimum Advanced Certification and cold water experience to dive the Northwind. This trip is open to divers of all levels passed Advanced but wreck penetration into the Northwind is only for divers properly trained with appropriate gear. Deep Certification is highly recommended.
Trip Details
Trip includes 2 days diving and 2 nights accommodation in shared lakeside cottages on Manitoulin Island. Diving is two dives per day Diving is Sunday, Monday.
Not included are scuba gear, tanks, air fills, meals & gratuities.
Please note this is expedition style diving. There is no dive shop or fills on Manitoulin Island. Be prepared to bring enough tanks for 2 days diving with you. We may have a compressor and know closer too the trip. Dive Source has plenty single tanks and limited double tanks for rent.
